The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry strives to provide a model of comprehensive ministry to help young people become true disciples of Christ in the world by encouraging full, active, and responsible participation in the life and mission of the Church.
As the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry carries out its mission, it remains faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church and follows the framework as set forth by the USCCB in their documents: Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry and Sons and Daughters of the Light: A Pastoral Plan for Ministry with Young Adults.
Specifically, we empower those engaged in youth and/or young adult ministry to respond to the needs of today's young people by:

The Diocese of Honolulu is a member of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM).
The symbol for youth and young adults across the Diocese of Honolulu! It stands for the Church, the islands we minister, Jesus Christ, and the movement to our ultimate goal in life. With symbolism of the Eucharist and collaborative ministry, we hope that people find the logo both aesthetically pleasing as well as spiritually meaningful.
