Associations and Organizations
Norms for Associations of the Faithful, Movements, Programs, and Other Organizations
One of the ways that the Spirit is active is through the activities of the faithful gathered in associations and other entities.
It is necessary, though, for the protection of the people of God and of the spiritual and temporal resources of the Church, that these associations, movements, programs and other organizations be provided with sufficient structures and methods of operation.
To that end, Bishop Larry Silva promulgated these Norms for Associations of the Faithful, Movements, Programs, and Other Organizations on September 28, 2012.
Included with the norms is a page of resources to assist associations and other organizations with complying with the requirements.
The norms are particular law for the Diocese of Honolulu.
