Land Asset Management Office

The Diocesan Real Estate Director serves as:

• The Asset Manager for all of the real property owned by the Roman Catholic Church in the State of Hawaii. Interfaces with the designated managing agent and legal counsel to achieve the highest operating value for all investment properties. Includes providing leasing services and lease administration for investment properties.
• Analyst for the real estate issues between juridic persons.
• Analyst to the Land Asset Management & Acquisition Committee (LAMAC) as established by the Road Map. This includes:
  • Valuation of all investment properties
  • Property dispositions following Diocesan approval
  • Acquisitions and property dispositions for parishes, schools and the diocese
  • Maintaining an accurate land inventory
  • Researching growth trends to properly assess parish boundaries
  • Evaluating real estate opportunities to support pastoral needs, such as retreat centers, youth facilities etc…
• As support for other Road Map directives concerning Homelessness and Affordable Housing; Repair & Maintenance of Church and School Facilities; and the Diocesan Planning & Building Commission.
