Parish & School Financial System Solution

The Catholic Diocese of Honolulu has implemented a Financial Systems Solution that standardizes the Chart of Accounts, Financial Reporting, and Accounting Software for Parishes and Schools.

In June 2010, a new Parish & School Finance manual was issued ad experimentum for one year beginning July 1, 2011.  During this one year period, parishes and school transitioned to a new chart of accounts and financial system.  Parish and school business managers worked with the new solution and gave feedback to improve the finance manual and accounting procedures.

In the Summer of 2013, the updated finance manual was officially released.  The new financial system solution was also fully implemented at all parishes and parochial schools.

Our parishes and schools are now standardized on the CathoNet Accounting Platform.  This includes the use of the following tools:

• QuickBooks hosted in the cloud by Right Networks
• Reporting tool for standardized financial statements
• FACTS for tuition management
