More and more people are living longer and healthier than ever before, according to the National Institute on Aging. Thanks to modern medical and public health improvements, our kupuna live well into their golden years. That’s why it’s important that we as a faith community do our part to support and strengthen our senior citizens through parish health and wellness ministries.
St. Francis Healthcare systems, which is dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Saint Marianne Cope and the sisters of St. Francis, is a major partner in this effort by offering free health and wellness classes to seniors and their caregivers every month! Trained experts provide education on a variety of topics ranging from bathing techniques to mobility training–including Tai Chi and Yoga.
