Finding the resources you need during this trying time can be a challenge when scrolling through various government and nonprofit websites. Fortunately, the search has been simplified, thanks to the Hawaii Public Health Institute (HIPHI), an organization that collaborates with various community partners on policy and cultural change surrounding health issues. HIPHI has created an online hub with comprehensive COVID-19 Resource Guides for all counties across the state. It provides information for access to essentials services and miscellaneous needs during the pandemic such as:
For additional information and an updated list of emergency food pantries available on your island, refer to your local Food Bank/Basket listing or visit OSM’s COVID-19 Resources webpage.
Keep in mind resources such as housing funds and food distributions are limited––and application procedures and deadlines are constantly changing. Please call ahead for updated information to ensure the help you are seeking is still available. Below are the resource guides for each county:
