Hawaii Catholic parishes on ‘Oahu are partnering with the University of Hawaii’s School of Medicine and Filipino CARES/Project Vision to provide free COVID testing in under served communities that have limited access to healthcare and health insurance. Organizers hope the new collaboration will help build better relationships with church leaders and increase access to testing. Among the churches that participated in the free drive-thru or walk-in testing on Saturday, December 20th, included St. Theresa Co-Cathedral in Kalihi, Sacred Heart Parish in Waianae, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ewa Beach and St. Roch in Kakuku.
