The following are some examples of efforts to make food available for all here in Hawaii during this difficult pandemic period. They include non-perishable food and hot meals from various food programs on each island who are members of the Food Bank. The list provides Location, Area (around the island), Operation Days & Time.
- Oahu - Hawaii Foodbank
- Kauai - Hawaii Foodbank Kauai
- Maui County - Maui Food Bank
- East Hawaii - The Food Basket – Hawaii Island’s Food Bank
- West Hawaii - The Food Basket – Hawaii Island’s Food Bank
- SNAP - More and more families are experiencing food insecurity due to job loss or shortened work hours/pay. Their current situation may also make them eligible for government assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, SNAP. They’re currently taking online applications HERE.
