 St. Joseph School Hilo

St. Joseph School, a Pre-K through 12th grade parochial school in Hilo, Hawaii, is seeking a spiritual and dynamic leader. The Principal, as the Head of School, will nurture an environment in which the Gospel is experienced by all.   The successful candidate will be able to balance the School’s tradition of excellence with continued innovations to meet the needs of today's students and families.  This is a Full Time position with salary compensation and a starting date of July 1, 2019.


The applicant must:


  • Have a Master’s Degree or its equivalent (certification in administration preferred).

  • Be a practicing Catholic living a lifestyle consistent with Catholic moral values and exercising professional conduct consistent with Catholic teaching.

  • Have demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Have five (5) years of demonstrated success in teaching.

  • Have a commitment to a Catholic philosophy of education.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
